Your E-Factor is 3
You expect very high quality. You need to be very particular on what printer/printing device to use to reproduce your work. Very few printers/printing devices can maintain an E-Factor of 3. Excellent training, excellent equipment, and excellent maintenance procedures must be implemented in order for a printer to reproduce work on production output devices to an E-Factor of 3. Top-level color management and hourly process control have to be fully integrated and indoctrinated throughout the print facility. Ideally, color optimization software should be fully implemented into the workflow. Instrument Harmonization has to be fully implemented to achieve this level of color reproduction quality. Less than 10% of printing organizations in North America can meet this level of quality today (2020). Search printers on the IDEAlliance website for G7 Color Space printers that can provide an E-Factor of 3.
ChromaChecker has PDF files that can be used to benchmark any printing process to quantify the device’s E-Factor. Click here to learn more about ChromaChecker printer benchmarking.
