A USB cable is required to use a CC-380 Glossmeter with CC Capture.

Prerequisites

• Before you connect, activate the USB connection in the instrument. To do that, go to instrument menu a, and select the USB option.
  
  
• The following message should always be displayed: "USB Connected."

Important notes

1. Keep the instrument properly calibrated. Calibration standards should be cleaner and free of dust and scratches. If destroyed, they must be replaced. To clean them, use a microfiber cloth. Optionally, isopropanol alcohol can be applied.
   
   
2. Quality of calibration impacts all measurements - firmly place the instrument on the calibration standard.
   
   
3. Check reading - detach the calibration standard and place it again. Measure it. Compare the numbers on the label with the reading on the display. The expected accuracy should be around 0.2- 0.3
