ChromaChecker is a web-based color quality management platform for print and packaging. It connects to spectrophotometers to measure, score, and control color consistency across presses, suppliers, and production sites — replacing subjective visual approval with data-driven quality scores.
E-Factor is ChromaChecker's composite color quality score. It combines multiple ΔE measurements — process colors, spot colors, substrate, and tone response — into a single number that reflects the overall salability of a print job. Unlike a single ΔE value, E-Factor accounts for the full complexity of a color design. See a real-world case study →
Yes — a spectrophotometer is required. ChromaChecker is a measurement-based platform; color quality scores are calculated from actual spectral data captured by your instrument. ChromaChecker supports all major spectrophotometers including X-Rite, Konica Minolta, and Barbieri devices. See supported instruments →
ChromaChecker supports ISO 12647-2 (offset), ISO 12647-6 (flexo), GRACoL, FOGRA, G7, and custom brand color tolerances. It can benchmark any press against any standard and flag jobs that fall outside tolerance. Learn about pass-fail standards →
Start with the Getting Started guide: connect a compatible spectrophotometer, create a free account, install ChromaChecker Capture, and measure your first control strip. Your first E-Factor score appears immediately after measurement.
Yes — this is one of ChromaChecker's core strengths. The shared spectral color database lets you set a single reference and propagate it to all suppliers in your network, with each supplier measuring against the same standard. You see conformance data from every site in one dashboard.
