You may have color Libraries or Pallets with hundreds or thousands of Color References, but most everyday productions are only based on a smaller subset of 2-10 colors. A project is a kind of template for production purposes that defines a short list of colors. Avery production batch (print run or any other manufacturing process) called Job is made by the rules defined by Project. Whenever production uses a separate device or is re-printed or re-manufactured, a new Job ID should be assigned to every new attempt. That makes a process easier to track and helps operators to achieve parameters similar to or better than before. Every case should have a unique Job ID when production is performed in various facilities and/or locations.
A shorter list of References means a faster and more accurate color sample autorecognition, which made the whole process very fast and easy. The operator may collect data in any sample order. Depending on the "autosave" option status, every measurement might automatically be stored in QC Tracking or with a manual save. During the make-ready state, the operator may double-check if all is correct (manual save mode ), and when set up complete — run the production mode (autosave).
